Job Summary:The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services within the hospital. This position requires a dynamic and organised professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Operations Oversight
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure smooth functioning across all departments.
  • Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Staff Coordination
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Oversee staff performance and address any immediate personnel issues.
  • Resource Management
  • Ensure the availability and proper allocation of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards & SOPs.
  • Implement quality control measures and address any deficiencies.
  • Patient Care Coordination
  • Supervise patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
  • Ensure effective coordination between administrative and clinical teams for optimal patient care.
  • Facilities Management
  • Oversee the maintenance and safety of hospital facilities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep.
  • Financial Operations
  • Monitor daily financial transactions, including billing and insurance claims.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Communication and Liaison
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments.
  • Act as a point of contact for external partners and stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present daily reports to senior management.
  • Patient and Staff Feedback
  • Monitor patient and staff feedback for immediate action.
  • Implement adjustments based on feedback to improve services and satisfaction.
  • Emergency Response
  • Be prepared to implement emergency plans and coordinate responses during crises.
  • Ensure staff are trained and aware of emergency procedures.
  • Policy Enforcement
  • Ensure staff adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Address any breaches in policy promptly.
  • Customer Service
  • Address patient complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and overall experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in hospital operations management.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive operational improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
