Job Summary:The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services within the hospital. This position requires a dynamic and organised professional with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Oversight
Monitor daily activities to ensure smooth functioning across all departments.
Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Staff Coordination
Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Oversee staff performance and address any immediate personnel issues.
Resource Management
Ensure the availability and proper allocation of medical supplies and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards & SOPs.
Implement quality control measures and address any deficiencies.
Patient Care Coordination
Supervise patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
Ensure effective coordination between administrative and clinical teams for optimal patient care.
Facilities Management
Oversee the maintenance and safety of hospital facilities.
Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep.
Financial Operations
Monitor daily financial transactions, including billing and insurance claims.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Communication and Liaison
Facilitate effective communication between departments.
Act as a point of contact for external partners and stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and present daily reports to senior management.
Patient and Staff Feedback
Monitor patient and staff feedback for immediate action.
Implement adjustments based on feedback to improve services and satisfaction.
Emergency Response
Be prepared to implement emergency plans and coordinate responses during crises.
Ensure staff are trained and aware of emergency procedures.
Policy Enforcement
Ensure staff adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Address any breaches in policy promptly.
Customer Service
Address patient complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
Implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and overall experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
Proven experience in hospital operations management.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive operational improvements.
