Operations Lead Position Overview Job Title: Manager (Client Account Management) Corporate Title: Asst Vice President (AVP) Location: Mumbai Role Description KYC Document Verification & Onboarding of Clients on DB Applications as per the Regulations. In accordance with Anti-Money Laundering Requirements, Banks, such as Deutsche Bank AG (\'DB\'), are obliged to perform Know-your-client (\'KYC\') reviews on all new clients they adopt. Client Onboarding team is responsible for these checks and reviews are made in strict accordance with regulatory requirement and the bank\'s internal policies and local regulations. Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) comprises of Client On-boarding and Account Maintenance and Reference Data Services (RDS). The group provides operational services across the Corporate Investment Banking clients globally, which enable client business, protect against client lifecycle risk and drive up data standards within the firm. CLM play an integral part in the firm\'s first line of defence against financial crime, reducing the risk of working with new clients, whilst ensuring client relationships are on-boarded and maintained efficiently. RDS provide a golden source of quality reference data across the Bank, underpinning the firm\'s key Regulatory, Control & Governance standards. He/She will be responsible for ensuring all controls and MI activities for CLM are managed in an efficient way. The individual will manage the audit related activities for CLM as a whole. It is essential to have a good KYC background and client static data knowledge to anticipate and identify issues upfront. Responsible for ensuring that Client Static data updates and Controls functions are managed effectively and consistently in line with the agreed process ensuring that all aspects of delivery are running effectively and if necessary, escalating issues. Responsible for ensuring clean audit reports for various audits conducted in KYC Ops and timely closure for all audit points. Suggest and implement additional controls wherever necessary to avoid repeat and new audit observations. Liaises with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of CAM and Control activities across all Biz lines and clients Supports the production of critical metrics and reporting which provide data related to department performance, risk quantification and stratification, and resource capacity Acts as a role model in relation to the values and beliefs and manages the function in line with internal policies and guidance and regulatory requirements Drives continuous improvement of people, process and technology. Review complex KYC and CAM cases and ensure appropriate escalation to internal teams such as AFC and Legal. Maintain working knowledge of various internal processes including KOP\'s, Local Regulations & Guidelines. Publishing of MIS on status of the KYC Periodic Review to the Senior Management of the Bank (Both Regional & Local) Ensure that there are no Critical Audit Points as a result of Regulatory or Internal Audits. Rollout of any new KYC Policy / Regulations and also proper understanding of the same within the team and stakeholders. For the delivery of high standards of client service, at the same time ensuring that all internal (e.g. Risk) and external (e.g. Compliance) standards requirements are met in full, utilizing the combination of resources managed as a single COB team. Ensure appropriate escalation policies exist and are followed. Work collectively with management, develop and maintain a motivated and professionally trained staff, ensuring appropriate capacity panning, adherence to and improvement in performance and quality standards and appropriate career development. Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed of the progress and challenges and escalating issues where appropriate. Ensure that defined guideline is adhered for excellent QA scores. Ensure adherence to standards, procedures and also identify risk mitigants wherever there is a control issue. Work closely with other internal teams to ensure top of the line service to Clients / Biz. Prioritize tasks and ensure adherence to timelines for completion of activities Ensure structured upward & downward communication. People Management Communication and Reasoning skills Excellent team leader, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organisation Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organisational, prioritisation, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and local language (written/verbal) as appropriate Open minded, able to share information, knowledge and expertise with peers and team members Technical skills MS Office expertise Expertise on internal systems and resources. Attention to details and quality. Your skills and experience Relevant experience in CAM and KYC processes and requirements Good knowledge of Control, Compliance, Investigation/chasing functions in banks Good Knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines (FATCA/CRS, 3rd EU Money Laundering Directive, MiFID,etc) Good in interpreting regulatory guidelines and assessing risk scores and entity types. Good understanding of end to end Static Data Updates & KYC process related to clients. Education/ Qualifications Degree or equivalent from recognized University with good academic qualifications. Diploma or Certification related to KYC / AML from reputed organizations will be added advantage.
