Educational Qualification / Experience required:
Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Engineering
• Additionally Masters in Business Administration preferred
• Experience of 20 to 25 years in an industrial / engineering product / auto component industry
• Should have proven strategic experience in leading a 1000 crores plus SBU (multi location) in an auto component industry, leading the manufacturing, sales & marketing and product development functions
• Should possess a sound business and financial acumen, including ability to develop financial plans, manage resources, analyses and interpret financial data
• Should possess experience in implementing manufacturing systems including lean manufacturing system, JIT production, TQM, etc.
• Proven ability to build sound customer relationships
• Should possess in depth understanding of the market trends, patterns, competitor performance, product life cycles of the auto component and OE sector
• Ability to communicate effectively and motivate teams
• Should possess excellent man management skills and personal rapport on labor engagement
Key Role
1. Responsible for developing the business plan and strategy for the division
2. Deploy and oversee implementation of initiatives to drive business growth and profitability targets for the division
3. Oversee implementation of initiatives to achieve plant performance targets including cost, quality, delivery, productivity and employee morale for plants / units across the division
4. Oversee implementation of sales & marketing deliverables, including achievement of sales targets across verticals (top line and bottom line), enhanced customer satisfaction and new business opportunities
5. Develop and oversee implementation of new product development, capacity enhancement and green field initiatives for the division, including product development lead times, ROI for projects, sales revenues from new products and research & development initiatives
6. Responsible for key stake holder relations including customers, vendors / suppliers, employees and other internal / external stake holders, as relevant
7. Set direction for the division and lead the team
