Job Title: Operations engineer II (Middleware) The Role ICON Middleware team is the front and centre of ICON Digital Operations. The team supports over 50 different technologies across Application, Integration and Business Intelligence Services. For the right person, the organization and the team will help propel them into becoming a complete middleware administrator working across DevOps, AIOps and Observability engineering. As middleware administrator, you will be expected to, Build, management and deployment of application services in ICON. Apply regular security patches, fix packs and upgrades. Support periodic application deployments. Support Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management. Support new projects initiated by business. Handle escalations on production issues. Use automation to eliminate manual tasks. Monitor performance and capacity utilization of middleware servers and take proactive measures to avoid or resolve any issues. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support. Stay updated on new developments in the field of middleware and make recommendations for improvement. You will ideally have 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following technologies Oracle Weblogic Server Apache Tomcat Server Apache HTTP Server Nginx Server Oracle SOA Suite Informatica IICS Hands-On experience in DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory. Hands-On Experience in Configuration Management Tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible. Strong programming skills in at least one of BASH, Python, Java languages. In-depth knowledge of operating systems, networks, storage and database. Excellent communication skills. Strong Drive to learn new and support technologies with minimal assistance.
