Overview:
Operational Excellence plays a critical role in overseeing daily operational activities within the facility. They are responsible for maintaining effective communication with Assistant Managers and/or the Operations Manager regarding operational issues and events. This position reports directly to the Manager or Assistant Manager and is accountable for meeting customer and Company key performance metrics, goals, and objectives. The Operations Supervisor fosters a collaborative team environment within the facility and demonstrates strong leadership skills. Additionally, they are tasked with managing, evaluating, and mentoring warehouse colleagues to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with Assistant Managers and/or Operations Manager regarding daily operational issues and events. Report directly to the Manager or Assistant Manager to provide updates on operational activities. Meet customer and Company key performance metrics, goals, and objectives. Foster a team environment within the facility by promoting collaboration and teamwork. Demonstrate strong leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate warehouse colleagues. Manage, evaluate, and mentor warehouse colleagues to ensure high performance and productivity levels. Provide guidance and support to warehouse colleagues to resolve operational issues and challenges. Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational processes and workflows. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Looking For
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse or similar operational environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to meet key performance metrics and objectives.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in managing, evaluating, and mentoring colleagues to drive performance improvement.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to Company policies and procedures.
