Role & responsibilities
1. Strategic Management of Outpatient Departments (OP), Inpatient Areas (IP), Diagnostics, and Pharmacy
• Strategically drive conversion and operational efficiency across outpatient departments, inpatient areas, diagnostics (LAB), and pharmacy services.
2. Lead Efficiency Projects
• Conceptualize and lead projects aimed at optimizing operational processes and resource utilization within the hospital.
3. Operational Metrics and Service Excellence
• Monitor operational metrics as part of the service excellence framework, focusing on discharge processes and other operational parameters to enhance patient care outcomes.
4. Ensure Regulatory Compliance
• Oversee hospital compliances and ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to operations management.
5. Day-to-Day Operations Oversight
• Manage daily operations and administrative functions to ensure seamless delivery of healthcare services.
6. Collaborative Leadership
• Foster collaboration with non-medical functions (Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, IP and OP, Customer Service, etc.) to ensure the delivery of world-class healthcare services.
7. Policy Development and Implementation
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices in hospital administration, including corporate services, medical insurance, material management, pharmacy management, facility management, and estates management.
8. Policy and Process Implementation
• Ensure effective implementation of organizational policies and processes to maintain operational efficiency.
9. Inter-Departmental Coordination
• Facilitate communication and resolve operational issues among various hospital departments.
10. Patient Relations and Escalation Handling
• Act as a representative of the operations team in handling patient escalations and ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.
11. Staff Development and Performance Management
• Assess staff performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
12. Regulatory and Environmental Compliance
• Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental health and safety standards.
13. Departmental Liaison
• Collaborate with departments to streamline operations and maintain smooth hospital functioning.
14. Cost Management Initiatives
• Participate in cost containment initiatives alongside other department heads to optimize resource allocation.
15. Service Excellence Initiatives
• Actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing service excellence and improving overall patient experience.
16. Operations Dashboard Development
• Participate in the design and implementation of operations dashboards to monitor performance and identify areas for operational improvement.
17. Quality Assurance and Compliance
• Ensure adherence to service quality processes and occupational health and safety policies.
18. Adaptability and Learning
• Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new concepts and industry standards.
19. Critical Thinking and Decision-Making
• Utilize critical thinking to analyze complex problems, evaluate solutions, and make informed decisions to support operational efficiency.
