Job Description


: As an OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Architect (CEPH) at Rackbank Datacenters, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure architecture for our clients. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and other technical teams to understand their requirements and develop robust OpenStack solutions that meet their needs. Your role will involve designing, deploying, and maintaining OpenStack-based cloud environments and ensuring their scalability, security, and high availability. Responsibilities: OpenStack Architecture Design: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable and resilient OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure solutions. Develop architectural blueprints and documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices. OpenStack Deployment and Configuration: Deploy and configure OpenStack cloud infrastructure components, including compute, storage, networking, and security services. Implement automation tools and frameworks to streamline the provisioning and management processes. Infrastructure Integration: Integrate OpenStack cloud infrastructure with other systems, platforms, and services, such as virtualization technologies, container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and software-defined networking (SDN) solutions. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and best practices to safeguard the OpenStack infrastructure and client data. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR or HIPAA, in the context of OpenStack deployments. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance and cost efficiency of the OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure. Analyze resource utilization, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to improve scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for the OpenStack cloud infrastructure. Develop backup and recovery plans, implement failover mechanisms, and conduct regular testing to ensure data integrity and availability. Documentation and Collaboration: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and operations teams, to ensure smooth integration and operation of OpenStack infrastructure components. Requirements: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure Architect or similar role. In-depth knowledge of OpenStack architecture and components, including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, Keystone, and Horizon. Experience in deploying and configuring OpenStack-based cloud environments. Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible. Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and solutions, such as OpenContrail or OVS. Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, including hypervisors (e.g., KVM, VMware). Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their integration with OpenStack. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical requirements. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
