Job Summary
The Office Peon will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the office by maintaining cleanliness, assisting staff, and providing hospitality services. This position requires a proactive, responsible, and service-oriented individual to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Office Support
• Assist staff in photocopying, filing, and delivering documents within the office premises.
• Distribute incoming mail, courier, and other materials to the respective departments.
• Collect and dispatch documents or packages to external locations as instructed.
Maintenance and Cleanliness
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the office, including workstations, pantry, and common areas.
• Ensure meeting rooms and visitor areas are clean and presentable at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues to the Administrative Officer promptly.
Hospitality Services
• Prepare and serve tea, coffee, water, and other refreshments to staff and visitors as needed.
• Ensure the pantry is well-stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, and other essentials.
• Arrange and organize refreshments for meetings, events, or training sessions held in the office.
Errands and Logistics
• Perform small errands such as bank work, purchasing office supplies, or delivering documents outside the office.
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms and organizing files or stationery supplies.
General Assistance
• Help organize office supplies and ensure inventory is up to date.
• Provide any other assistance required by staff or management during the course of the day.
Key Skills and Competencies
• Ability to prepare tea, coffee, and refreshments efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of office procedures and etiquettes.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and deliver tasks on time.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact politely with staff and visitors.
• A proactive and responsible approach to completing tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum qualification: 10th Pass.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Physically fit and able to carry out tasks involving movement and light lifting.
Work Conditions
• Full-time position with fixed working hours.
• May require occasional overtime or weekend work based on office needs.
