Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Odoo ERP Administrator to manage the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of our Odoo ERP system across multiple countries. The successful candidate will have prior experience in Odoo development, cross-functional team coordination, and ensuring continuous system optimization. This role requires a strong background in finance and accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets, which reflect true business value.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Odoo Development & Implementation
• Develop and customize Odoo functionalities to meet the specific needs of multiple operational branches, aligning modules with business workflows.
• Collaborate with departments to gather requirements, customizing modules that support workflows across finance, operations, and other functions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for the seamless integration of new tools and modules, ensuring system performance and accessibility.
2. Data Management:
• Oversee the management of serialized item master, customer master and vendor master support workflows across finance, operations, and other functions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for the seamless integration of new tools and modules, ensuring system performance and accessibility.
• Ensure data quality through data cleansing, migration, and validation processes, maintaining accurate information across the ERP system.
3. Project Management:
Lead ERP-related projects from initiation to completion, juggling multiple priorities and ensuring alignment with business goals.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with departments (e.g., Operations, Finance, Inventory, IT) to align ERP functionalities with business needs and drive process improvements.
5. Data Analysis, Coordination & Reporting
• Engage with all departments weekly to gather required data, ensuring each department provides timely input for comprehensive reporting.
• Extract and analyse data weekly to assess performance, generating actionable insights and compiling detailed reports for management.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, confirming that all entries in the P&L and Balance Sheet reflect true business value and comply with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to verify that Odoo's financial modules are correctly configured and that reporting processes align with organizational requirements.
6. System Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
• Conduct regular updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system functionality and minimal downtime.
• Lead improvement initiatives based on user feedback and performance data, enhancing system usability and efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and support continuous improvements, working closely with end-users and finance to align on financial data requirements.
7. User Training & Support
• Organize and conduct training sessions for existing and new employees to ensure the efficient use of Odoo modules, with a focus on finance and reporting functions.
• Serve as the primary contact for technical support encountered by ERP users, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Odoo Team to fix the issues, when necessary.
8. System Security & Data Integrity
• Implement security protocols to protect sensitive financial data and ensure data integrity within the Odoo system.
• Maintain regular backups and recovery procedures to prevent data loss and ensure swift recovery in case of system failure.
9. Financial Accuracy & Reporting Integrity
• Regularly validate that Odoo's finance modules align with accounting standards and that the P&L and Balance Sheets reflect accurate financial data.
• Work closely with finance and accounting teams to review and troubleshoot financial entries, ensuring consistency across reporting functions.
10. Quality Assurance & Software Deployments:
Participate in QA testing for new ERP functionalities and deployments, ensuring smooth rollouts and high standards.
11. System Scalability & Customization
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to design and implement a scalable system that supports organizational growth and future data load.
• Create custom financial modules or enhancements, adapting Odoo functionalities to align with business needs.
12. Documentation & Process Standardization
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ERP configurations, processes, and user guides.
• Create and enforce standardized workflows in financial data reporting and transaction processing to ensure consistency and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Odoo ERP administration, customization, and development, with specific expertise in finance and accounting functions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Strong analytical skills focused on financial reporting, system maintenance, and process improvement.
Key Competencies:
• Proficiency in Odoo's finance and accounting modules, including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
• Knowledge of multi-station setup and integration within Odoo.
• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental coordination and accurate management reporting.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement in financial and system functionalities.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in Odoo ERP administration.
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of database management and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with E-commerce and distribution ERP modules and processes, with hands-on experience managing serialized items.
• Understanding of data management principles, including data migration and data quality assurance.
• Technical experience with QA processes and software deployment is a plus.
Project Management Skills:
Proven ability to manage multiple ERP projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver projects on time.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Work Authorization: Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Bonus Qualifications:
• Experience with ERP reporting and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with integration platforms and API-based data integrations.
• Previous experience working with serialized goods management.
• Knowledge of software development or coding (Python, XML) for customization within Odoo.
