Occupational Therapist
Job Description
Occupational therapists have many roles and responsibilities, including:
• Evaluating patientsOccupational therapists conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients to help them achieve their goals. They also assess home and work environments to identify needed adjustments.
• Developing treatment plansOccupational therapists create patient-specific treatment plans and recovery procedures to help clients overcome challenges. They may also develop physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
• Providing treatment activitiesOccupational therapists provide functional treatment activities for clients individually and in groups. They may also explain exercises to patients and help them try new things to improve mobility and strength.
• Advising on equipmentOccupational therapists may choose or fabricate equipment to help clients function more independently. They may also advise clients on adaptive equipment to help with daily activities.
• Preparing clients for workOccupational therapists may help clients prepare to return to work.
• Educating caregiversOccupational therapists may educate caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
• Evaluating progressOccupational therapists evaluate the results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
