We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team and oversee the delivery of exceptional care in our home care services.
Position Overview: The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care in a home care setting. This role involves supervising a team of home care nurses and aides, ensuring compliance with care plans, and maintaining high standards of care. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of home care regulations, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision and Leadership:
• Manage and support a team of home care nurses, nurse practitioners, and aides.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to staff.
• Coordinate staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for patient needs.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts among staff members.
• Patient Care:
• Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for clients.
• Ensure that all care plans are followed and updated as needed.
• Conduct regular patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust care plans.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including complex cases or emergencies.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure that all care provided complies with state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Review and approve documentation related to patient care, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Quality Improvement:
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Provide training and education to staff on new protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Communication and Coordination:
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Address and resolve patient and family concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSC) preferred; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of [5] years of experience in nursing, with at least [X] years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in home care or a related field strongly preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and management skills.
