Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide round-the-clock medical assistance and respond promptly to any medical emergencies within the hostel premises.
• Assess and provide basic medical care to students and staff as needed, including administering first aid, managing minor injuries, and referring serious cases to appropriate medical facilities.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all hostel residents and staff, including documenting medical histories, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with hostel wardens to promote health education and awareness among residents, including preventive measures against common illnesses and promoting healthy lifestyles.
• Coordinate with external medical providers and emergency services as necessary for specialized care or transportation to medical facilities.
• Conduct regular health screenings and wellness checks for hostel residents and staff to monitor their overall health and well-being.
• Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions.Participate in hostel safety and security protocols, including emergency preparedness drills and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor in nursing or any relevant education needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and protocols.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Willingness to reside in the hostel premises and be on-call for medical emergencies during designated shifts.
