Job Description

A Nursing Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing education to students, preparing them for successful careers in the healthcare field. The role involves teaching theoretical and clinical courses, developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student performance, and contributing to the overall growth of the nursing program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:
• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, lab sessions, and clinical rotations.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Create and maintain a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
• Assess student learning through exams, assignments, and clinical evaluations.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
• Curriculum Development:
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing curriculum.
• Align curriculum with current nursing standards and best practices.
• Develop and update course syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments.
• Student Advising and Mentoring:
• Provide academic and career guidance to students.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for students.
• Assist students with academic difficulties and personal challenges.
• Clinical Supervision:
• Oversee and evaluate student performance in clinical settings.
• Collaborate with clinical agencies to ensure quality student experiences.
• Provide clinical instruction and support to students.
• Professional Development:
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice and education.
• Participate in professional development activities and conferences.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities.
• Service:
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
• Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the nursing program.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance program effectiveness.
