Job Description

Story Research and Development:

• Investigate and gather information on current events, trends, and issues.
• Conduct interviews with sources, experts, and witnesses to obtain comprehensive insights.
• Verify facts and corroborate information to ensure accuracy and reliability.

News Writing and Reporting:

• Write clear, concise, and engaging news scripts for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Present news stories on-air in a professional manner, maintaining viewer engagement.
• Create compelling news packages, including video segments and multimedia content.

Field Reporting:

• Cover live events, press conferences, and on-the-ground news stories as assigned.
• Utilize reporting tools and equipment effectively to capture and report news.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with producers, editors, and other newsroom staff to ensure seamless news coverage.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide timely updates on story progress.

Ethical Standards and Accuracy:

• Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards, ensuring impartiality and fairness in reporting.
• Fact-check and proofread news content to maintain high standards of accuracy.
