Employment Type PermanentClosing Date 7 Aug 2024 11:59pmJob Title Network Test EngineerJob Summary As a Network Test Engineer, you apply a breadth of knowledge and experience in network, software and device testing tools, test types (including unit, integration, performance, stress) and methodologies, and an understanding of the Telstra solution architecture to deliver against the following responsibilities:Essential Requirements:Proven Experience: Demonstrated expertise in network configuration and interworking testing across various platforms including Transport, Radio Access Network, IP Core, and Edge platforms.Platforms include:

  • Ciena: 6500 (Packet), 6500 (DWDM), 5142
  • Ericsson Transport: OM1664, SPO1410, SPO1460, MHL3000, SOO-EM, SOOO-NM, IPTNMS-Packet
  • Radio Transport: FRX3, SIAE AGS20, SIAE ALC, Minilink
  • Juniper: MX960, MX1003, MX1008, MX10K-LC9600
  • Cisco: ASR1K, ASR9K, Cat6K, Nexus 9k, ASA, Meraki MR66, MR72
  • Alcatel: Omniswitch 6600, MRV: NTU-OS904, NTU-OS906, AS-OS9244, Z4806
  • Arista: DCS-7280SR-48C6
  • Ericsson Mobiles: CSR6673, CSR6675, BB6648, BB6630 (CPRI), R2212, R503, AIR3239, AIR6488, AIR5322, AIR3258
  • 4G/5G: SAPC, PCRF, SGSN-MME, HSS, EPG, OCS, HLR, Modini
  • Monitoring & Management: T-live, NEM-DMS, Syslog, Xymon, Splunk
  • Packet Capture: Wireshark, IRIS
In-depth Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of telecommunication network architectures and connectivity, encompassing Transport, IPCore, Aggregation, Mobiles, and Media.Specialized Expertise: Profound knowledge of transport and IP optical transceivers, including optical fiber characteristics and their impact on transceiver performance.Test Management: Extensive experience in test management and laboratory configuration, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a network interworking/testing related role.Awareness: Familiarity with Telstra\'s architecture and technology implementation processes.Project Management: Working knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile frameworks, with proficiency in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
