Seeking an astute individual that has a strong technical foundation with the additional ability to be hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, with the ability to implement them working with both the platform, and the product teams.
Scope:Your typical days technical stack work will be focused in
Cisco Firewall ( CISCO ISE/CISCO ASA ) and VPN 25%- Install, configure, maintain, and manage network security systems including, access controls, firewalls, and other network security products
Configure, troubleshoot, and manage routing protocols, firewall security policies/rules, Cisco ISE RBAC policy, service definitions, load balancing rules - creating a virtual server, Pool configuration, iRules, SSL client-server configuration, redirection rules, etc.
Monitor network availability and performance
Configure network and access points for MS teams, Zoom, etc.
Identify hardware problems through log investigation
Report and investigate on anomalies outside the expected norm.
Proxy ticket opening with carrier or vendor as required
Open trouble tickets, follow-up, repair as required
Open/follow-up/escalate with Cisco TAC as required, and with service provider, trouble ticket review of open tickets
Follow up on open issues, update tickets periodically & closing it within SLA Review of Syslog status Documentation.
Respond to system issues related to the infrastructure and fulfill service requests
Prioritize workload and resolve any technical issues/roadblocks
Review all critical links for utilization and error thresholds. Review all configurations and compare to standards document and NAS config policy
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or engineering related field with 3+ years of industry experience or five plus years of industry experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
Hands-on experience in Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls & Nexus platforms
Configuration and Operational support experience with Nexus switches, NSX-T/NSX-V, NSX Edge, NSX logical router, NSX Load balancer, NSX distributed Firewall
1+ year of working in MS Azure environment (VNET, subnet creation, management and troubleshooting)
Applicable experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
Basic understanding of VMware vSphere, vCenter, vRealise
Understanding of IPS/IDS technologies
Willingness to work under different technologies and take up new technology responsibilities outside the core skills.
CCNA, CCNP, any public cloud certification
Any preferred skills youd want that is just a bonus and will not be evaluated as core skills for this role
Extensive hands-on experience and troubleshooting experience in Network Protocols - BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IS-IS, STP, ECMP, vPC, etc.
Basic understanding of Cloud Environments (Public, Private, Hybrid Cloud)
Experience in Enterprise VOIP and Telephone system maintenance and management.
