The Role Experian is looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic individual to assist in determining security requirements of new network security solutions for both Experian and the rapidly changing and innovative businesses it supports. This will include research, design, planning and testing of security systems ensuring solutions meet security standards, policies, and procedures, and act in a security consulting role on any network security related matters. Experian Global Network Services is responsible for the delivery and continual development of Experian\'s technical network and security architecture. The team is comprised of subject matter experts that are focused on network security controls, including but limited to VPN solutions, endpoint security, DNS technologies, perimeter firewalls, DDoS services, intrusion prevention systems, web gateways, web application firewalls, and load balancers in both on premises and cloud environments. This role will also proactively engage with the business units and the Experian Global Security Office to ensure that all support gaps associated with Network Security are identified, added to a solution plan (roadmap), and resolved. The role will challenge you to respond in different ways depending on the task at hand. Operating at the strategic level you will be innovating and developing the reference architectures for our network security environment. With the business units, you will be taking the lead in driving to the resolution for specific operational problems, along with providing advice, guidance and thought leadership on a range of security related topics. Position Functions Work in a dynamic IT organization with highly variable priorities requiring flexibility and ability to handle competing/changing priorities while operating under general guidance and direction Take concepts, products, and operational problems and drive them to resolution Provide security guidance and requirements to technology teams when no solution is currently available Be driven by the practical implementation and use of technology to meet operational needs, implement security technical controls, and ensure standard processes, documentation, key controls to monitor and metrics to gauge effectiveness are developed Apply financial realism to concepts by demonstrating the budgetary changes a solution brings when compared to its costs Bring your technical experience and vision to analyze multiple proposed solutions to identify those that meet the requirement and complement the existing tool sets. Continually pursue growth in professional skills and knowledge Create technical drawings/documentation and create management reports and metrics In collaboration with the Global Network leadership teams, create a roadmap for Global Network team to help meet customer needs today and in the future Work with the Network and Security teams to continually evaluate security control performance and effectiveness to facilitate maximum uptime and minimize malfunctions Qualifications Position Qualifications At least 7 years of experience in the Information Security field At least 15+ years of practical experience, (deployment, configuration, management, and support), working with various network and security control technologies. Including cloud and premise-based Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Gateways, and Firewalls. Experience in an environment that includes Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Oracle, Azure etc), Private Cloud, Colocation facilities and Datacenter facilities Enterprise Firewall Management systems, controlling and auditing rules sets Next Generation Firewall from two or more of the leading manufacturers Intrusion Protection Systems Web Application Firewalls Traditional network environments and software defined networking Cloud technologies and the implementation of security services within cloud environments SSL/TLS Technologies including mutual (2-way) authentication, Certificates, encryption Web Access Gateways Traffic Flow Analysis tools Understanding and familiarity with DNS and its operations Passion and desire work within a team of engineers to achieve personal and professional goals with a focus on continual growth through development plans and goals Specific experience with a combination of network security platforms such as Incapsula, SecureSphere, Trellix, Checkpoint, or Fortinet, Firewalls/Intrusion Prevention Systems, Skyhigh Prem and Cloud Web Gateways, and F5 Big IP and SSLO solutions Proven ability to manage workloads using Agile framework Knowledge of the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and management of networking, telecommunication, and computer/server equipment Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex, high pressure situations Ability to facilitate productive meetings and work successfully in a team-oriented environment Ability to create and establish processes, documentation, and automations required to effectively hand-off between network engineering and operations teams Understanding of SSL/TLS protocols Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP Networking Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification(s) preferred Additional Information Additional Information Why choose us Our colleagues\' health and wellbeing are a top priority for us, that\'s why our reward, benefits and wellbeing programmes are designed so you can come to work feeling your very best self.
