Networking Engineer & System Administrator ( Hardware and Software )

Job Summary
The Networking Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to design and implement network solutions that meet business needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure network security through the implementation of appropriate measures and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains current and effective.

System Administrator

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to support business needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Networking Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?8,879.86 - ?43,104.54 per month
