You will lead efforts to maintain and support a complex and growing network topology that must meet the needs of a challenging set of development, operations and business requirements. You will demonstrate innovative approaches to solving the unique challenges encountered and be able to maintain the security and integrity of the networks. Creating and maintaining IT documentation will be very important. You will be monitoring performance of network systems and advise management when additional processing or technology enhancements are required. Finally, you will perform troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure elements to support the diagnosis of problemsWhat you will doProvide Level 2 support for BAU, delivery of Corporate and Data Centre technologies and technical resources for projectsImplement network improvement projects as needed to support business initiativesTroubleshooting issues during system outages to quickly determine root causes of issuesAnticipate and troubleshoot issues with performance, capacity, or error conditionsMaintain up to date knowledge of current networking technologiesWhat experience you needBS or Associate\'s Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required5-7 years of IP network support experience, at least 3 years at engineer levelKnowledge of networking concepts such as spanning tree, TCP/UDP protocols, ICMP, VLANS, trunking, routing, subnetting, routing protocols (BGP,OSPF), and the ability to decode and review protocol tracesSolid Understanding of Cloud (AWS & GCP) Network ComponentsConfiguration & troubleshooting experience with a Juniper and Palo Alto firewallConfiguration and command set mastery of Cisco , Juniper and Arista switches / routersAbility to plan work to meet project deadlines, accommodate demands by users, set priorities, organize information and escalate issues appropriatelyAbility to participate in multiple projects concurrently.
