Job Summary: The NOC Power Alarms Monitoring Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing power alarms within our telecom network. This role ensures that all power-related issues are identified, escalated, and resolved promptly to maintain network stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor power alarms across the network using advanced NOC tools and systems.
Identify, analyze, and escalate power alarm issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal network downtime.
Coordinate with field technicians and engineering teams to address and resolve power-related problems efficiently.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of power alarm incidents, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
Perform routine checks and tests on power systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of power alarm monitoring procedures and best practices.
Provide regular analytical reports on power alarm incidents and trends to management for strategic planning.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency power alarm situations with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
Collaborate with other NOC team members to ensure comprehensive network monitoring and issue resolution.
Engage in continuous learning and development to stay updated with the latest advancements in telecom power systems and monitoring technologies.
Contribute to training initiatives aimed at empowering team members with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective power alarms monitoring.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a NOC environment or telecom industry, specifically in power alarms monitoring.
Strong understanding of telecom power systems, including rectifiers, batteries, and generators.
Proficient in using NOC monitoring tools and software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of Proactive actions to safeguard network.
Capable to handle Critical & Major incident situations.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in telecommunications or power systems.
Experience with SNMP, TCP/IP, and other network protocols.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for telecom power systems.
Good knowledge of NMS platform.
