Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement network solutions and improve existing ones. Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP. Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. Arrange scheduled upgrades and investigate faults in the network. Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases. Report network status to key stakeholders. Design and implement new solutions and improve the resilience of the current environment. Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services, and firewalls. Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation. Provide support and troubleshoot to resolve issues. Ensure all IT activities and processes adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements. Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. Proven hands-on network engineering experience. Deep understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers. Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources. Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization. A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Dependable and flexible when necessary.
