Job Overview: The Network Engineer will lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve issues for Streamline\xe2\x80\x99s networking, infrastructure, Internet connectivity, Internet Service Provider (ISPs) issues, tunnels, firewalls, routers, switches, unified threat management (UTMs) appliances, intrusion protection systems (IPSs), and virtual private networks (VPNs) and troubleshoot and resolve related issues with vendors, customers, and staff. The Network Administrator will also be responsible for creating and updating documentation including procedures, processes, contractual language, best practices, supported hardware, and network configurations. This position will participate in Streamline\xe2\x80\x99s server maintenance schedule. The Network Administrator will assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Job Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and monitor VPN tunnels for internal and external users.
• Create setup documentation and track utilization.
• Procure, provide advice, test, troubleshoot, and deploy networking, infrastructure, and cloud resources.
• Ensure availability of Streamline\xe2\x80\x99s Internet Provider service
• Keep enterprise devices and software current with endpoint and patching solutions.
• Create and maintain Azure Networking resources
• Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups (especially of firewall and UTM systems) and participate in the scheduled server maintenance schedule. Performs restores as needed.
• Perform regularly scheduled disaster recovery test plans and update disaster recovery plans as appropriate.
• Monitor and control network, tunnel, and infrastructure resource availability.
• Purchase and ensure compliance with applicable licensing. Coordinate user access changes with other department resources.
• Recommend, implement, and document strong security practices to appropriately safeguard Streamline\xe2\x80\x99s and its customers\xe2\x80\x99 data and information.
• Be available for off-hours support of urgent software, hardware, and networking issues.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems and replace defective components when necessary
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
• Implement high availability architecture for enterprise and provider networks.
• Plan, design, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers/switches and firewalls/VPN
• Design, Implement, and Maintain Monitoring/Logging related to network functions.
• Develop solutions in the following areas: routing and switching, WAN optimization, QoS, application load balancer, VPN technologies and network diagnostic and monitoring toolsets
• Create and manage VPN connections or services using an IPsec protocol suite
• Research emerging technologies in support of cloud and infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
• Implement and recommend network/infrastructure/cloud security features
• Monitoring the cloud
• Configuration of alerts (Zabbix)

Job Requirements:

• Associates\xe2\x80\x99 degree from two-year college or technical school in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field and at least three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 prior experience in Support or Technology Services
• Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows preferred
• Windows Server experience with IIS in a clustered environment preferred
• Microsoft Azure preferred
• Networking architecture and concepts including firewalls, UTMs, access points, tunnels and VPNs preferred
• Linux/Unix experience preferred
• Domain certificate management preferred
• Ability to perform competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations
• Ability to be on call or assure critical incident response 24x7x365
• Some travel may be required, up to 30%
