We are expanding our capabilities by building a new 24/7 reliability team supporting our global network. You will gain broad experience in areas such as Meraki, Cisco, Solarwinds and Cribl, troubleshooting complex issues, identifying the underlying route cause, monitoring & logging, reporting & analytics, working with our specialist Site Operations team to deliver a first class service. You will also have the opportunity to work on project, new implementation and design. TechOps is responsible for all IT Infrastructure across the enterprise and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services and processes. Internally, we like to describe TechOps as a xe2x80x98start-up within an enterprisexe2x80x99!Youxe2x80x99ll spend your time:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Elanco's global network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.
  • Lead complex network projects, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, security standards, and budget guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other systems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues, ensuring high availability and optimal user experience.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
  • Acting as a Level 3 engineer helping us manage Meraki and Cisco devices across the global.
  • Provide support to internal and vendor operational team to deliver the day-to-day network operations service in line with agreed policies, processes, and procedures, while helping to enrich the Knowledge that supports this.
  • Helping to support and develop the Network Support tooling systems, such as SolarWinds and Cribl Stream (Enterprise Logging)
  • Using Monitoring & Logging tools to keep a pulse on the environment and proactively identify issues
  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
  • Implementing changes to the network environment.
  • Building enhancements and fixes where necessary.
  • Assist with new site stand up through automation, CLI or GUI
  • Remote assistance with deployment of new hardware
  • Completing maintenance and compliance activities (e.g. patching, maintenance, upgrades, lifecycles)
  • Completing continual improvement work, ensuring all services and infrastructure work reliably and securely
  • Escalating issues to Vendors teams when needed
  • Completing Problem Management processes for the Network environment
  • Collaborating with Services & Engineering Teams to ensure that all new services are properly transitioned before they go live
  • Producing reporting and visuals to help measure how things are performing
  • Partnering closely with Level 1 & Level 3 teams to ensure collaboration is working well
  • Communicating to other teams (e.g. creating a communication to raise awareness of a big incident, what caused it and how it was resolved)
  • Creating simple documentation that is always kept up to date
  • Completing activities that get us closer to our strategic goals (e.g. automating manual activities, shifting services left towards L1)
  • Adhering to SLA targets
  • Providing an excellent customer experience to anyone you engage with
  • Working onsite in shifts at the Elanco Innovation and Alliance Centre in India
  • Ensuring security, privacy and quality practices are embedded in everything we do
LogisticsThe first stage is the application. After this, successful candidates will be invited to a 30min interview over web conference. Successful candidates from the first interview, will be invited to a 1-hour interview over web conference with 2 different individuals.Core Skills
  • At least 8 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the Network discipline
  • Strong hands-on experience in routing, switching, wireless, and security (Meraki & Cisco experience is required)
  • Strong experience with IT operations
  • Experience with IT Service Management tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Experience with scripting and automation
  • Strong communications skills with examples of being able to explain things in a simple and concise way
  • A technical approach to problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in working with vendors and MSPs
  • Strong communication skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result
  • Strong personal & work organisational skills

  • Cisco CCNA certification
  • Cribl CCOE certification
  • SolarWinds Certified Professional certification
  • Understanding and knowledge of SDN technologies (Cisco SD-WAN)
  • Knowledge of firewall technology, especially Palo Alto Networks
  • Understanding hybrid cloud environment (Azure, GCP, VMware)
  • Familiar with network security solutions
  • Experience in designing and building technical solutions
  • Strong passion about new technologies, new ideas and creative way of thinking
