Job Specification: Network Analyst III

Job Location: Pune

Job Summary:

The Network Analyst III is part of a dynamic global IT organization that supports the company's mission and focus on innovation and sustainability, comprised of the \'4 Ps\' - Product, Planet, People, and Performance. This role is responsible for leading strategic global projects, configuring and implementing innovative plans, and collaborating with Avient's global voice and data network team. The Analyst will ensure high availability, reliability and security within Avient's global network infrastructure, including for both internal and external business users and partners. This role collaborates with associates across all levels, geographies, business units and business functions to solve business challenges and achieve desired business outcomes. This analyst will have opportunity to bring new thinking to the organization, challenge the status quo, try out different approaches and make an impact not just on the immediate team, but IT and the organization overall.

Essential Functions:
  • Configures and deploys the LAN and WAN infrastructure globally and provides advanced regional support for LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies (Ethernet, routing and switching, VLANs, Voice and Data convergence, video technologies etc).
  • Provide project management for complex network telecommunication integrations, installations, and upgrades
  • Ensure that the security, performance, reliability and efficiency of Avient's global network, voice and audio/video infrastructure is maintained and continually improved
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all issues identified network monitoring platforms, calls, service desk, and vendor generated tickets
  • Act as a liaison between end users and all other IT Teams via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Analyzes management tools for configuration and management of network systems
  • Provides documentation for all projects and knowledgebase articles
  • Experience with various hardware vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto
  • Support and help maintain relationships with all relevant IT vendors
  • Participate in the IT strategic process and/or service needs.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision within global virtual teams.
  • Follow instruction to achieve high quality outcome.
  • Flexibility to work within global regional time zones, including to participate in off hours support and weekend on-call status.
  • Potential global travel up to 10%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7 - 10 years of professional experience supporting installing and configuring network switches, firewalls, routers and wireless controllers.
  • Leadership experience should include both project management responsibilities and for coordinating the efforts of others
  • Cisco CCNA required
  • Fortinet NSE4 or above required
  • Juniper JNCIA a benefit

  • Strong process and internal customer focus
  • Demonstrated project management skills utilizing tools and established methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies in the areas of LAN, WAN, SDWAN, VoIP, Internet, Telephony, security, Audio/Video Technology
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills required.
  • Demonstrated experience in global network, voice and audio/video infrastructure strategy installation, support, & operations
  • Demonstrated network, voice and audio/video infrastructure security experience
  • Experience leading infrastructure projects and acquisition integrations
