The Network Administrator II maintains all aspects of data, voice, video conference and network security for the Firm, while assisting with design and implementation requirements. This includes, but is not limited to the following systems and technologies: LAN/WAN, routing and switching, telecom, VoIP, video conferencing, firewall, VPN, wireless, procurement and vendor relations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains existing data, voice, video conference and network security equipment, applying updates and troubleshooting network problems.
Assists with provisioning new LAN/WAN, telecom, video and network security equipment as needed for both internal and external networks.
Assists with setting up new remote offices while maintaining and improving existing offices.
Manages multiple firewalls and VPN?s for enterprise security, applying policies and updates as needed while fine-tuning and keeping out unwanted traffic.
Reviews data, voice and video utilization, performance trends and recommends future requirements to maintain acceptable performance levels and accommodate traffic growth.
Maintains system, security, and network configurations while assisting with new configurations.
Troubleshoots complex network and application issues.
Provides timely, accurate, and professional communications to internal customers and management regarding project initiatives and abnormal operations.
Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
Stays abreast of latest technologies in data, voice, video conference and network security.
Reviews assigned service requests daily, provides status updates to management, and ensures problem ticket information is updated accurately and promptly.
Provides technical support and guidance to users.
Maintains asset inventory for data, voice, video conference and network security equipment, along with appropriate documentation.
Assists with other projects as needed.
Education/Experience: High-school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), and three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor?s degree is highly preferred.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate skills in Microsoft? Office, Internet navigation and research, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Management tools, network administration tools, scripting and automation.
Certificates and Licenses: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Avaya Implementation Professional Specialist (AIPS) and Avaya Support Professional Specialist (ASPS) highly preferred. Valid driver?s license required.
