Job Title: NetBackup Administrator Location: Gurgaon Experience: 6+ years : We are looking for a skilled and experienced NetBackup Administrator to manage and maintain our enterprise backup environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in administering Veritas NetBackup systems and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of our data through effective backup and recovery strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the Veritas NetBackup environment, ensuring reliable and efficient data backup and recovery processes.
- Configure and manage backup policies, schedules, and storage units.
- Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful completion of backups.
- Perform regular system and data integrity checks to ensure data is correctly backed up and can be restored when needed.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions, including replication and offsite storage.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate backup solutions with other systems and applications.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.
- Manage and maintain backup infrastructure, including servers, storage devices, and network components.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other IT staff.
- Document backup and recovery procedures, policies, and configurations.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data backup and recovery technologies.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in administering Veritas NetBackup environments.
- Strong knowledge of data backup and recovery principles and best practices.
- Experience with configuring and managing NetBackup policies, schedules, and storage units.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving backup job failures and issues.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Familiarity with storage technologies and concepts (SAN, NAS, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Veritas Certified Specialist) are a plus.
