The Role: Netapp Storage Administrator

The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures

Responsibilities:

Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of NetApp storage environment including Backup servers, backup storage, network configuration and clients.

Design, troubleshoot, and support enterprise backup environment.

Performing standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines.

Representing Storage/Backup & Restore team in cross-department projects.

Supporting disaster recovery tests

Work with team members to schedule and perform necessary maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of all systems in the Data Center and related areas.

Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.

What We\'re Looking For:

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study.

Minimum 7+ years of Industry experience in a Storage domain, preferably Netapp

Strong experiencing supporting NAS / Netapp systems

Strong experience with Netapp ONTAP 9 and above

In-depth knowledge of Netapp Snap suite of products (Snapmirror, Virtual Storage console, etc.), ISCSI, NFS, CIFS

Configuration and support of NDMP backups between a Netapp and third party backup products

Experience with Netapp\'s Workflow Automation (WFA) tool is a plus

Knowledge in Windows clusters, VMware troubleshooting, Storage Clustering and Virtual storage troubleshooting mandatory

Expertise in Storage provisioning using SVM creation CIFS NFS and LUN creation in Cluster Mode Plan and Implement Ontap Upgrade

Ability to Commission and Decommission Storages systems.

Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning

Hands on experience Commvault would be an added advantage

Working knowledge of Linux OS is must.

Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hotfixes on Netapp Devices
