Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (with 5+ years of software development experience), who is passionate about building event-driven microservices in a distributed cloud environment, learning new technologies and growing her/himself in her career. In addition to that, you would have an opportunity to learn and get your hands dirty in frontend programming, if and only if you would like to become a full stack developer engineer in future.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, scalable, well-written code that is quickly understood, easily supported, and maintained by the team using standard methodologies.
• Develop microservices (in a distributed environment) exposing REST APIs, those are written in Python-Flask and help in deploying them to AWS.
• We are language and framework agnostic and trust our engineers to make sensible decisions to select their language and tool carefully. However, our current stack is Python, Postgres, Redis, Serverless-computing (Lambda), Golang , Nodejs, Jenkins, Github and AWS.
• We love people who want to be full-stack and contribute to the frontend & DevOps side, so if you are someone who wishes to do so, then this would be your bonus point here.
• Explore new technologies.
• Follow best practices for writing and maintaining and organizing codes.
• We are a big believer in unit tests, so you should have some level of familiarity with TDD/BDD and following it, and also encourage other team members to do so.
• Have good problem-solving skills and understand data structure and time/space complexity of the algorithm.
• Must be a great team player, and fun to work with.
• Have some knowledge of Cloud (AWS) systems and CICD pipeline. We have a fully automated pipeline to deploy docker images to AWS.
