Job Description

Role Purpose :

Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) Devise ways to examine objects, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Interpret test results using, for example, radiographs and digital readouts. Evaluate results according to specifications and standards.

Responsibility :

• Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment.
• Conducting rigorous tests on structures and materials using non-destructive techniques.
• Developing and instituting bespoke NTD procedures for specified products and materials during and after manufacturing.
• Identifying structural and material defects.
• Interpreting test results.
• Completing test reports, and presenting findings.
• Maintaining NTD equipment.

Support Function :

• Operating non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, monitoring and reporting NDT data
• Carrying out predefined NDT daily, weekly and monthly checks
• Identifying issues while using equipment and documenting and putting in preventative measures
• Tracking orders and regulating work lists to ensure workload is prioritized and equipment is utilized
• Ensuring specific quality and criteria are maintained to quality system requirements

Able to understand and follow detailed instructions, routing and drawings for job and set-up operations.

Skills Required :

• Up-to-date knowledge of inspection, test methods and relevant standards.
• Up-to-date knowledge in NDT as per relevant standards.
• Tactful to satisfy outside inspection requirements.
• Basic AutoCAD Knowledge
• Knowledge of Welding Processes
• Fabrication Processes Knowledge Require
• Good communication and training skill.

Qualification Required :

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

Mandatory Requirement :

• Must be a local from Ankleshwar or nearby areas
• Long term commitment (3 year bond will be required)
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent report-writing skills.
• Problem-solving skills (identifying, evaluating and solving)

Great communication, organizational and personal computer (PC) skills.

Pay: ?100,000.00 - ?300,000.00 per year
