Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain our MySQL databases, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance.

Optimize database performance by tuning queries, monitoring resource usage, and analyzing performance metrics.

Implement best practices for data backup and recovery, including disaster recovery planning.

Monitor database activity to detect and resolve performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and other problems.

Design and implement database schema changes and upgrades.

Work with software developers to ensure that applications are optimized for database performance and scalability.

Develop and maintain documentation on database configuration, usage, and best practices.

Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the performance and scalability of our database infrastructure.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience as a MySQL Database Administrator or a related role.

In-depth knowledge of MySQL database architecture, design, and administration.

Strong experience in database performance tuning and optimization.

Experience with database backup and recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.

Knowledge of database security and best practices for data protection.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as SQL for MIS Reports.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
