Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to support and manage our MySQL database environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security best practices, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing database health.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and manage MySQL databases for high availability and performance.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular optimizations.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Ensure database security, including access control and data encryption.
• Work closely with developers to optimize SQL queries and database schema design.
• Perform capacity planning and scaling for growing database environments.

Required Skills :

• Proficiency in MySQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of database backup and recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience in query optimization, indexing, and schema design best practices.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, MySQL Enterprise Monitor).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and basic shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications :

• MySQL DBA certification or similar credentials.
• Experience with replication, clustering, and high-availability configurations.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL) for MySQL management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ?600,000.00 - ?2,500,000.00 per year
