Mysql Data Base Administrator
Job Description
An outstanding opportunity to work with a large-scale database of 70 million highly profiled users, distributed in 3 data centers in US, Ireland and Italy.
As a Senior MySQL Database Administrator , you must be highly organized and accurate, have excellent communication skills, an enthusiastic approach and willingness to tackle new and varied tasks.
• BS in Computer Science or an IT related discipline.
• Excellent command in English written and spoken
Desired Skills & Experience
• At least 5 years' experience as MySQL DBA
• Expertise in Replication techniques, backups and restores, performance tuning and query optimization
• Advanced Unix and SQL scripting skill
• Experience of using the Linux operating system and Apache web server
• Experience of application programming for automation of MySQL tasks
• Experience with large scale databases in Development/Test/Production environments.
• Experience with building highly-available and scalable systems.
• Experience of deploying database upgrades to live systems.
• Knowledge of database performance and resilience testing.
• Experience in developing unit test framework for database solutions.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• PHP
• Data warehouse
• Previous experience in a SaaS environment
• Previous experience working with SCRUM
