Job description
A Multimedia Trainer (Faculty) is responsible for educating students in various multimedia tools, techniques, and software applications used in creating visual and audio content. This includes teaching graphic design, video editing, animation, web design, and other multimedia-related subjects. The role requires staying updated with industry trends, guiding students in practical and theoretical aspects, and fostering their creative and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development:
• Design and develop course materials, lesson plans, and assignments based on the curriculum.
• Update the curriculum regularly to reflect current industry practices and emerging technologies in multimedia.
• Develop instructional strategies and multimedia presentations for engaging and effective learning.
• Classroom Teaching:
• Deliver theoretical and practical lessons in areas such as graphic design, video production, animation, web design, and sound design.
• Teach software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Final Cut Pro, 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya), and web development tools (e.g., HTML, CSS, WordPress).
• Conduct classroom lectures, workshops, and hands-on practical sessions.
• Student Mentorship:
• Provide one-on-one guidance and mentorship to students, helping them develop their multimedia projects.
• Evaluate student progress, provide feedback on assignments, and guide students in developing portfolios.
• Foster creativity and encourage students to experiment with various multimedia techniques and styles.
• Software and Technology Training:
• Teach the use of industry-standard software applications and multimedia tools for graphic design, animation, video editing, and web design.
• Guide students in understanding the integration of various media (text, images, sound, animation, and video) in creating multimedia content.
• Stay updated on new technologies and software updates, ensuring students are trained in the latest tools.
• Industry Relevance:
• Stay current with industry trends and developments to ensure students are learning the most relevant skills.
• Organize guest lectures, workshops, and seminars from industry professionals to enhance the learning experience.
• Assist students in understanding career opportunities and trends in the multimedia industry.
• Project Supervision:
• Oversee student projects, ensuring they apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in real-world scenarios.
• Help students create high-quality portfolios for job placements or internships.
• Administrative Responsibilities:
• Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Prepare assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student knowledge and skills.
• Assist in student admissions, counseling, and placement activities, when required.
