We are looking for a highly-motivated, committed Teachers for Primary and Secondary section who are passionate about teaching and imparting quality education to children from marginalized communities.

Position: Music Teacher

Location: Bandra, Mumbai

Reports to: Head / Incharge

Brief about Aseema:

Aseema is a Mumbai-based NGO that is committed to equipping children from marginalised communities with high quality, value-based education, enabling the development of their limitless potential. We run three municipal schools in Mumbai in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and one school for tribal children in Igatpuri. Aseema reaches out to 4,400 children living in vulnerable circumstances in urban slums and tribal communities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• To be aware of and work in accordance with Aseema's teaching approach.
• To teach music to the children as guided by the Assistant Heads
• To prepare a collection of the songs done in the classroom in booklet form
• To maintain and purposefully use all musical instruments and related equipment such as players, CDs and other such items.
• To prepare innovative lesson plans and teaching aids
• To teach in an experiential manner and make learning relevant and meaningful for the children

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Bachelor's degree / certificate course in Music is required.
• Candidates with Music teaching experience at schools is preferred.
• Candidates residing in Mumbai only apply.
