Job Description


Role: Multimedia DesignerAbout the role:We are looking for an experienced, organized creative professional with excellent aesthetic capabilities and project/resource management skills. Candidates must have a sharp creative eye, love visual storytelling, and be able to balance design with client communication and creative consultation. Our ideal candidate is experienced shooting and editing video and will collaborate with other creative and web staff members to exchange ideas, files, clips, segments, video formats, player specifications, etc.What you will do:

  • Create highly engaging videos with a focus on editing and some shooting
  • Shooting in-person or remote talking head videos
  • Editing videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut X, After Effects
  • Provide basic to advanced video motion graphic design support on video projects
  • Take part in creative sessions by brainstorming, providing creative input, suggesting innovative concepts, and making creative recommendations
  • Deliver compelling videos that meet brand standards, best practices and goals
  • Digitize and encode video from and to a variety of devices and codecs
  • Evaluate edited product interface videos to make sure they match the story from the script and meet the narrative agenda
  • Accurately proof of all work - exceptional attention to detail is a must
  • Manage numerous projects, including expectations with respect to timelines, scope, standards, priority and provide timely escalation of issues
  • Process a high volume of requests and coordinate competing priorities effectively by balancing scheduled and unscheduled requirements
  • Ensure all editing cuts, splices, changes and additions appear seamless and natural and help the story flow more effectively in the finished product.
What you will need:Educational skills:
  • 3 - 5 years Video Production and Editing experience:
  • BA in video production, graphic arts or related degree preferred.
  • Reel of video work
Technical skills:
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience with Lightroom and Adobe CC (Photoshop and Illustrator). Animate and add graphics. Edit, colour correct, and mix audio
  • Extensive experience in post-production and motion graphics software, including Adobe Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, Photoshop CC, Adobe Media Encoder CC, Final Cut X and Audition CC
  • Familiar with lightroom
  • Extensive experience in post-production tools, formats, best practices, and processes
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies and environments
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to develop creative visual ideas
  • Set up lights and sound equipment. Assist in shoots and operate a camera
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent storytelling and concept development skills
  • Strong eye for composition.
