Core Responsibilities

Camera Preparation and Testing

: Recommend appropriate camera equipment to meet technical and aesthetic requirements. Conduct lens collimation, back focus, tracking tests, and steady tests for film cameras. Ensure accessories, cables, and weather-proofing materials are functional.

Camera Maintenance

: Clean and maintain cameras, including lubricating film transport mechanisms for film cameras or cleaning optical filters for digital cameras. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical malfunctions.

Camera Setup

: Assemble camera bodies, lenses, supports, and accessories. Perform daily field tests, adjust settings (ISO, shutter speed), and align cameras for multi-camera setups.

Monitoring During Shoots

: Maintain focus throughout shots and adjust lens apertures as directed. Analyze shots for technical faults and resolve issues with minimal disruption.
