Job Description

• Maintaining and repairing machinery: This involves inspecting equipment for problems, diagnosing malfunctions, and fixing or replacing broken parts. Jon might use tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools to perform repairs [3].
• Troubleshooting breakdowns: When machines aren't working properly, Jon would be responsible for figuring out the cause of the problem and fixing it. This might involve using diagnostic tools and manuals to identify the issue [2].
• Performing preventative maintenance: Jon would likely be involved in tasks that help prevent equipment failures. This could include lubricating parts, changing filters, and inspecting for signs of wear and tear [3].
• Keeping records: Documenting maintenance and repairs is important for keeping track of equipment health and scheduling future maintenance. Jon might keep paper logs or use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) [4].
