Prepared Environment Designer : - Design a therapeutic environment that is conducive to speech and language development. - Ensure the environment includes a variety of materials that stimulate communication. 4. Role Model : - Demonstrate effective communication behaviors. - Serve as a model for social interactions and language use. ### Responsibilities 1. Individualized Assessment and Therapy : - Conduct thorough assessments to identify each child's speech and language needs. - Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on these assessments. 2. Therapeutic Environment Management : - Maintain an organized, calm, and engaging environment that supports speech and language development. - Ensure that materials and activities are accessible and appropriate for each child's developmental stage. 3. Speech and Language Activities : - Prepare and facilitate activities that promote speech, language, and communication skills. - Use Montessori materials and methods to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. 4. Progress Monitoring and Documentation : - Continuously monitor and document each child's progress. - Use this documentation to adjust therapy plans and communicate with parents and other professionals. 5. Parental and Professional Collaboration : - Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and strategies for support at home. - Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and occupational therapists, to provide holistic support. 6. Sensory Integration : - Integrate sensory experiences into speech therapy activities. - Use sensory materials to enhance engagement and support communication goals. 7. Cultural and Social Sensitivity : - Create a culturally responsive and inclusive therapy environment. - Encourage respect and empathy in communication activities. 8.
