Job Description

Location: India (Delhi, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar)

Salary: ? 16-22 Lakhs p.a. full-time equivalent, dependent on experience

Eligibility: Right to work in India

The role

We see impact as central to everything we do and put a lot of effort into understanding the impact our work has on young people. We use data insights, evaluation, and research to continuously improve our educational products and programmes, and to communicate about them with volunteers, educators, supporters, and partners.

We are now recruiting an M&E/Impact Manager to join our Impact team and help us reach our ambitious goals to measure and enhance the impact of our work in India.

You will partner with product teams to establish clear reach and impact goals for our educational products and programmes in India. You will work with the team to ensure we have reliable and accessible data that is effectively analysed and used to inform decisions about what we can do better. You will build the capacity of the team in impact and evaluation skills and tools, and help to embed a focus on impact.

Reporting to the Head of Impact, and working closely with the Country Director for India, you will ensure that key impact findings and insights on our educational products are being used to inform the direction of future work, and are feeding into management information and reporting. You will also work with the fundraising and communications teams to effectively communicate the impact we are achieving in India to external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is committed to developing an impact culture and evidence-based decisions to help improve the impact we have on young people. You will be inquiring and focused, and confident with data analysis and measurement. You will have strong impact and evaluation skills, gained from conducting research or evaluation for education initiatives in India. You will have the ability to make sense of ambiguity and distil data into actionable insights. We want to be a leader in understanding and improving our impact, and you will share that drive.

We strive to make the Foundation a place where talented people who care about our mission can do the best work of their careers. We have a flexible and collaborative approach to all aspects of our work. If you're the right person for the job, we'll make it work for you, and you can be confident that you'll be working with an exceptional team.

About us

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK-based educational charity with the mission to enable young people to realise their full potential through the power of computing and digital technologies.

Established in 2008 and first known for our product -- the wildly successful Raspberry Pi computer -- the Foundation has developed education programmes, learning experiences, and products that are helping millions of young people learn vital new knowledge and skills

Through Code Club and CoderDojo, we support the world's largest network of free informal computing clubs for young people. Tens of thousands of educators have taken our online courses, and millions of people use our free online learning resources. To deepen our understanding of how young people learn about computing and how to create with digital technologies, we conduct academic research, and we use that knowledge to increase the impact of our work and advance the field of computing education.

Across all of our work, we work hard to engage young people who come from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the field of computing or who experience educational disadvantage. We work all over the world, with teams based in the UK, Ireland, North America, and India, and partnerships with mission-aligned organisations in over 40 countries.

We are at the forefront of the global movement to help young people learn about computing and digital making. You can read more about our mission, values, and goals in our Annual Review 2022 and our Strategy 2022-2025.

Benefits

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a range of benefits for all of our colleagues, including:

• 15 earned leaves, 12 sick leaves, and 18 national/regional leaves
• Life assurance and medical insurance policy
• Highly flexible and balanced work culture to fit around childcare, personal development, and other commitments
• Free subscriptions to well-known programmes in professional development and wellness
• Monthly all-staff meetings and socials

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If successful in the selection process, you will be required to undergo a background check to confirm that you are a suitable person to work with children. Further background checks will be made at regular intervals thereafter.
