  • Master\'s Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, Developmental Studies, Public Policy, Economics, etc.)
  • Certification in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, tools, and techniques that can demonstrate specialized expertise in this area is desirable.
  • Relevant experience working in an M&E capacity with an NGO or in an education development setting.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of M&E tools, procedures, and frameworks.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in managing complex data sets;
  • Demonstrate capacity to work with both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and coordination skills;
  • Demonstration proactive in identifying and addressing issues and meeting strict deadlines
  • Demonstrable skill in using computer-based statistical packages and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is necessary

Children\'s needs are at the heart of the Academy\'s focus and high quality pastoral care is paramount.The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer\'s key responsibility areas will be developing and deploying monitoring and evaluation procedures and mechanisms for all the CERT project offerings. The Hyderabad Academy has recently launched the Centre for Educational Research, Innovation, and Training (CERT) as an independent yet integral function within the Academy.
This Centre oversees the existing outreach work with government schools through the Professional Learning Educator Series - Programme for Teachers of English and Mathematics (PLES-PTE and PTM) and Educational Leadership and Management (ELM). In addition, the Centre recruits and trains outstanding graduates from public universities through the Teacher Preparation Programme (TPP) - a multi-phase program designed by the Aga Khan Schools to teach one or more of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs at the Academies. The Centre also supports the professional development of teachers in Aga Khan Schools across India.
The newly launched Research Fellowship Programme (RFP) provides opportunities for teachers at the Academy to engage in research on topical educational themes which are of strategic relevance to our schools.Key Responsibilities:
  • To facilitate M&E of all CERT associated projects including the English training programme for government school teachers in Telangana, PD support programmes for AK Schools across India, the RFP and TPP.
  • To review, assess and deploy appropriate instruments to track the effectiveness and fitness for purpose of all our programmes throughout their life cycle.
  • To maintain tracking records of tools and collected data from the course/workshop feedback surveys.
  • To coordinate and/or conduct all data collection and reporting of the project
  • To enter data into appropriate databases accurately and within deadlines, perform data cleaning and quality checks, and work with Master Trainers to ensure data integrity.
  • To report on requirements, reporting tools, data management processes, management of registers and reports, definitions, analysis and interpretation, and use of data, all depending on specific needs.
  • To provide insights to the team on how best to use and interpret data collected to inform decision-making
  • To conduct and report on regular data quality checks and audits through on-site data verifications.
  • To track performance indicators and ensure adherence to advanced educational M&E frameworks.
  • To oversee the routine running and improvement of the M&E programme.
  • To respond to educational trends based on the National/District/Zonal M&E reports informing the educational programme initiatives.
  • To travel to the sites occasionally where projects are implemented for a better understanding of the context and for the quality assurance in which interventions are implemented.
