Job Summary:
The MIS Sales Business Support Executive plays a crucial role in providing support to the sales team by ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales data and performance metrics. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to generate insightful reports that aid in decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance metrics such as sales volume, revenue, margins, and market trends.
2. Collect and compile data from multiple sources, including sales databases, CRM systems, and external market research reports.
3. Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Create ad hoc reports and analyses as requested by management or sales team members.
5. Develop and maintain automated reporting tools to streamline data collection and report generation processes.
6. Collaborate with sales managers and representatives to understand their reporting needs and provide customized solutions.
7. Monitor sales activities and performance against targets, highlighting areas of concern or potential areas for growth.
8. Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and budget plans based on historical data and market trends.
9. Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and overall sales productivity.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights to the sales team.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a sales or business support function.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
6. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
9. Knowledge of sales processes and methodologies is advantageous.
