Job Description


Mindshare is aggressively building its Datascience team across offices in India. We are currently looking for a Director of DataScience and Analytics to join our South Datascience team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing analytics investigations, developing hypothesis for client problem statements, deciding the data fabric for the line of analysis, Machine Learning driven Algorithmic analysis and problem solving and insight generation for India's largest and strategic marketers.

Expertise areas :

  • Leverage ML driven EDA and develop custom non linear Market Mix Models
  • Create experimental analytics for ecommerce clients using supervised and unsupervised algorithms

Measures of success

In three months: * Understand and rebuild existing client MMM models in production
  • Understand proprietary Mindshare algorithms and train on them
  • Integrate with business and digital teams on campaign planning and optimisation
In 6 months: * Develop custom non-linear and advanced MMMs in line with global industry advancements.
  • Help expand media and digital attribution modelling work at Mindshare
  • Teach and inspire the junior Analysts to build cutting edge MMM algorithms
In 12 months:

Own the MMM Datascience program expansion and delivery. Build algorithmic innovation pipeline for at least 3 clients.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Understand business problems, media measurement framework, brand metrics research that supports clients\' go to market plans.
  • Work closely with Mindshare Leadership, Business leads, Programmatic and Digital talent to understand the daily rhythm of client campaigns and the requirements thereof.
  • Take the lead on finding analytics solutions for existing campaign situations
  • Gather network knowledge to supplement a campaign situation
  • Build test models and improve continuously by taking feedback from clients / peers
  • Supervise, train and mentor interns and junior datascientists
  • Manage project timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with internal agency stakeholders and clients
  • Develop analytics proposals and strategies to present to clients
  • Identify and partner with external measurement vendors and third-party data providers
What you will need:
  • 6+ years of experience in media and digital campaign statistical analysis , especially using Machine Learning
  • 1-2 years of experience in a people management or supervisory role
  • Bachelor's or Graduate in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science. Economics, Operations Research or related quantitative field
  • Good knowledge of full funnel brand measurement , attribution challenges and campaign optimization approaches.
  • Some knowledge of programmatic data and ad serving platforms such as DCM and/ or trading platforms such as DV360, Scibids etc
  • Some knowledge of integrated marketing disciplines (including primary research, online advertising, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
  • Some experience with SQL/BigQuery and comfortable working with at least one of the major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Thorough understanding of online marketing, digital metrics and programmatic
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using statistical and econometric modeling techniques
  • 1-2 year Datascience certifications is mandatory
