MBI Digital is looking for a Middleware administrator with a minimum of 6yrs experience who acts as a leader to establish proactive Middleware management processes, handles complex performance issues, and performs hands-on troubleshooting. A Middleware admin works in various ways in various roles; be it part of a team-initiative conducting a deep dive into an issue on a mission critical application; an individual full stack analyst who can proactively seek out, prove root cause and provide corrective actions or work arounds for the issue, or as an advisor for offering best practices of configurations, installations, migrations to the client business and development teams. This is a 100% remote opportunity. You should be willing to work in a fixed shift from 6pm-3am Indian Standard Time, must also be available for on call support during off business hours Roles & responsibilities: Key responsibilities include the identification and resolution of hardware, software or Middleware problems/outages in any of the Middleware related services Owning, maintaining and setting up environments on multiple platforms across the enterprise Deployment, administration and operational support of (prd, stg, tst and dev) environments for multiple Web/J2EE projects using Middleware Application Server as the runtime Help with installations, upgrades, application migrations and support of Middleware applications for QA and development teams for multiple projects Handle specific performance issues, error messages or service problems that are routed directly to the IT Middleware Support team and assigned to an Engineer Required Qualifications and skills: Bachelor\'s Degree or MS in Computer Science or equivalent Systems Engineering experience working in complex enterprise environment 7+ years administrating middleware application servers, 2+ years in a support environment Hands on experience with WebSphere (preferred), Weblogic, JBoss and/or Tomcat Demonstrated experience with implementation, management and operational support of Application Server environment. Experience with highly available Application Server cluster solutions. Experience managing and configuring Apache Server Experience working with Unix/Linux Operating Systems Able to read and work from technical manuals and other documentation Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of Tuxedo or Tibco Experience with F5 Load Balancer is helpful Application server performance tuning experience Scripting & automation skills Other Qualifications Complete required screenings and background checks for client work Able to work in a fixed shift from 6pm-3am Indian Standard Time, must also be available for on call support during off business hours Critical thinker with excellent communication and good time-management skills Ability to spend long hours in intense concentration Ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines
