Who we are looking forThis role is responsible for managing the US Voluntary/ Mandatory Processing and review. The team provides a vital role in the Corporate Action value stream which captures and process voluntary and mandatory events in the US Market. There is a high degree of risk associated with this position and risk management skills are critical. • Monitor market corporate action/Income events against the portfolio for Equity , Fixed Income , Mutual/Unit Trust funds and ensure successful processing within accounting systems.
• Working or hands on knowledge on Income processing , Interest processing , Tax liability of markets and tax obligations on clients.
• Analyses, research and interpret investigate and process corporate action/ Income/ Interest terms and conditions according to established policies and procedures.
• Validate the actions and prepares daily logs for tracking of events.
• Communicates with internal and external parties to provide corporate action /Income information and relevant deadlines.
• Understand the pricing methodology of equity, fixed income & Unit trust products.
• Analyze the impact of securities trading suspension, delisting and adjustment factors that impact the overall fund portfolio.
• Daily Reconciliation of the position entitled and the entitlement with custody payments , good understanding on investigation , resolution of Income Payments on portfolios and Tax related to different markets.
• Researches and resolves all breaks \xe2\x80\x93 substantiate the breaks by identifying the root cause and solving them with ensuring no controllable breaks outstanding on the funds.
• Monitors all corporate action/ Income inflow of the events and publish updates to the team and management.
• Perform intra-day checks and EOD checks for the actions completed or pending and elevate any challenges according to the established procedures to the management.
• Assists in training of new employees; Act as technical resource to the team.
• Works effectively as a team member but also independently managing portfolios assigned and establishing effective controls within the process.
• Working towards becoming proficient in all areas of the job not limited to understanding only of Income / Corporate actions but must have good working knowledge on tax obligations of clients.
• Typically works with moderate guidance, accountable for individual results and impact on work group.
• During the course of normal day-to-day operation, responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and reporting and/or escalating in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures.

• Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters for checking securities pricing, description, corporate action information, corporate news etc.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent industry recognized qualification
• 5-7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in financial services with minimum 3 years of relevant Corporate Action/ Fund Accounting/ Income processing experience.
