We are looking for a Software Engineer.

Principal responsibilities

  • Service Measurement and Reporting, who are responsible for base-lining, measuring, monitoring and reporting the performance of IT Services.
  • Service Level Management (SLM), who are responsible for ensuring that standardised methods and procedures are followed to create, maintain, and demise Operational Level Agreements for IT Services.
  • Outage Management, who are responsible for managing data relating to IT service disruption (including gathering customer/colleague impact).
  • Undertaking proceduralised reporting tasks using PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Reviewing and understanding information produced by other IT Service Management teams for incidents/outages (including Incident and Problem Management documentation) and using this to create \xe2\x80\x98business friendly\xe2\x80\x99 descriptions of disruption to technology services.
  • Undertaking oversight of technology service disruption (outage), including ensuring that data relating to outages is transferred accurately and in a timely manner between systems (ServiceNow and PLADA).
  • Creating and demising technology service Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) as per the IT Service Acceptance (ITSA) and service demise processes.
  • Maintaining an accurate Inventory of the technology services that underpin Critical Business Services.

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and execute them as per agreed timelines with accuracy and minimal supervision.
  • Do not only good work but the right work, taking responsibility for an outcome, not just a set of tasks.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement objectives defined by the IT Service Management leadership team.
  • Understanding and experience of MI/Reporting processes.
  • Experience in auditing/quality checking of tasks to ensure accuracy before publication.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and Cognos.
  • Experience and knowledge of IT Service Management principles and methodologies.
  • General understanding of IT software, hardware, networks and operations.
