Job Description

At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Interface with the product design teams to discuss technical inputs for simulations, failure modes, CTQs and carry out simulations, theoretical calculations to identify and mitigate risks through design recommendations.
  • Collaborate with design & validation teams to enhance the design optimization. Conduct correlation study with actual test results and address correlation gaps.
  • Support project execution through participation in design review meetings and core team meetings providing design recommendations. Identify Innovation opportunities.
  • Validate concept designs using simulation techniques such as Structural, Vibration & Thermal analysis and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements.
  • Deploy FEA Techniques - implicit and explicit approach, using Software tools like Ansys Work Bench, LSDyna, ICE Pack,Hypermesh, Simufact,Mathworks, Digimat etc. Majority on Nonlinear analysis, Electrothermal analysis/Electromagnetic etc. those are involving multi-physics.
  • Translate actual problem to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model, interpret analysis results and select best solution which includes linear & non-linear analysis under different conditions.
  • Standardize the simulation model which can be used globally, should be able to use ANSYS APDL.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge on Strength of materials
  • Implement productivity improvement methods through simulations. Identify VAVE opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate simulation software capabilities and industry trends.
  • Deploy standardized process and work methodology.
  • Train and develop capability of the team to be a multi-skilled resource pool.
  • Benchmark implement productivity improvement methods.
  • Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.
