At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job OverviewTE Connectivity\'s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.ResponsibilitiesROLE OBJECTIVELeads reviews and strategies to ensures that all products meet quality standards. Make sure that the project deliverables are met from a quality engineering standpointRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the quality function on medium to large projects by setting target, troubleshooting & tracking
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations and project management teams to ensure deliverables are up to quality standards.
  • Establish work processes, make improvements to existing procedures and track KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Develop long term plan for digital metrology process and strategies work force planning.
  • Mange team leaders with goal setting, performance, talent management, prj assignment/tracking and staffing
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of quality processes and tools.
  • Participating in planning and estimating quality support requirements for new products, functions, and components.
  • Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality; working with product developers to resolve non-compliance issues.
  • Lead the APQP activities in new product development.
  • Keep tab of latest technology trends related to Automotive metrology and review impact on team and implement as applicable.
Required SkillEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor of Engg / Technology with 9+ years of working experience in Quality Engineering function.Competency Required
  • Extensive experience in digital metrology and CMM measurement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of metrology software like from VG & GoM, including Zeiss\'s Calypso & Hexagon\'s PC-DMIS
  • Knowledge of metrology scan (using X-ray) for plastics & metals
  • Knowledge of GPS/GD&T interpretation and its impact on metrology.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical products / connectors and it manufacturing process - injection molding, high speed stamping and assembly
  • Ability to lead team (40~50pax) of metrology engineers and working experience in global CFT (Cross functional teams).
