At the forefront of this effort is Intuit Core AI, a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to enhancing engineering capabilities and improving efficiency, productivity, and impact for AI practitioners. Qualifications 12-15 years of experience in developing platforms in the machine learning and data engineering space. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing product development teams. Strong experience in production support of business-critical applications/services operating at internet scale. Proven track record of improving operational excellence for high-risk applications, including building observability, runbooks, performing RCAs, and implementing best practices to avoid incidents in the first place. Experience in ML engineering, ML operations, and Data engineering space with technologies like Kube Flow, Spark/Flink, or similar real-time data pipeline frameworks, Kafka, AWS Sagemaker, AWS S3, AWS EMR, Feature store and feature engineering, Hive meta store, Notebooks, etc. Expertise with any of the following Object-Oriented Languages (OOD): Java and/or Python. Articulate the product vision and drive the future roadmap with strong business acumen. Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams. Worked successfully with cross-functional partners including Product, Data Science, and Design in setting product strategy and delivering it. Strong leadership experience: Leading meetings, presenting, technical go-to person, and cross-functional leader. Ability to manage a small (6-8 member) high-caliber backend and data engineering team. Strong decision-maker and driver. Effective verbal and written communication skills and methods, with multiple levels of internal stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across teams, functional groups, and divisions. Expertise with Agile development methodologies. Expertise in the Software design/architecture process. Expertise with Test-Driven Development (TDD). Expertise in CI/CD. Ability to deliver tough feedback with directness and empathy, willingness to seek feedback with an open mind, and demonstrated experience of continuous learning and growth. Champion of engineering culture - Rigor in automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices. Proven track record in delivering with collaboration with engineering teams across multiple regions and time zones, preferably North America and India. Proven track record in partnering with recruiting teams to build incredible engineering teams. BS in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent work-related experience Responsibilities Build a new, diverse, and healthy team of engineers for our India development center and coach them to do the best work of their lives. Lead several ML platform initiatives from the India site related to feature engineering, online/batch ML inferencing services, ML/data pipelines, etc. Lead operational excellence and on-call support during IDC business hours for tier-1 business-critical services like feature stores and online inference services.
