Your Role

Report

- Hierarchically to Flow Team Manager

Mission

  • To establish a sustainable manufacturing setup which delivers High Quality Products on-time & in shortest lead-time, at the lowest cost, in respect of Safety, Health & Environment guidelines.
Targets
  • Achieve QDC Excellence for all assembly lines with right process.
  • Successful deployment of a leadership project \'Lead 2 Lean\'& a competence project \'World Class\'.
  • In case of business requirement set up new assembly/sub assembly lines within Chakan Plant for expansion & growth.
Optimize operator performance by Continuous improvement & innovation
  • Organize time and motion study activities to arrive at correct routing hours.
  • Make regular Line balancing to adjust the workload according to the Product Mix, but also according to various potential daily volume needs to avoid Operator variance.
  • Minimize balancing losses to less than 5% on each line.
  • Optimize the operator workstation & the flow process, being Flexible (like DC tools), reducing the Throughput time, and FMEA proven, resulting in efficiency gain.
  • Analyse issues & generate ideas of improvement from all employees, like with the use of Visual Kaizen Board.
  • Take active part in implementing the DN (Design Notification) for smooth phase in & phase out of the parts ensuring minimum scrap and zero disruptions on the production line(for shorter Time2Market.
  • Key member in NPD (New product development) in coordination with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality Departments to ensure smooth serial production of new product on line.
  • Participate in TCM, PQM, DN to ensure timely closure & avoid repetition of Customer complaints.
  • Create best practices by formalizing the Assembly knowledge
  • Active participation in suggestions for the design of fixtures, assembly tooling and infrastructure to improve efficiencies along with operators.
  • Identify and work closely with suppliers in the design of special tooling for manufacturing.
  • Track investments payback
  • Trolleys & Equipment preventive Maintenance & Calibration schedules
  • Respect IMS principal, and AC Guidelines
  • IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 50001 & ISO 45001) mandatory, legal & internal requirement fulfilment for manufacturing function.
  • Hazard identification & risk assessment for assembly lines.
  • Lead the Manufacturing Teams
  • Make monthly reports (on-time & pertinent) to communicate on trends & on commitment status.
  • Respect law, norm, corporate guidelines (like The Way We Do Things, Business Code of Practice, and Internal Audits), local procedures.
  • Have a good team spirit, taking challenges, generating ideas for improvements & innovation, to be open for quick implementation of changes.

To succeed, you will need

Experience / Educational requirements
  • B. E. Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineer with 6-8 years of experience
  • Candidate with MBA would be preferred
  • Technical knowledge on compressor assembly & parts is a plus.
  • Expert in Lean Manufacturing concept, knows in details the Supply chain processes, and is able to make a Line Balancing.
  • Knowledge of Quality concept (FMEA, FTR, 6 Sigma\xe2\x80\xa6), Safety and IMS.
  • Project Management proven record, like implementation of a new line, or assembly set up.
  • Exposure to International business environment & Large manufacturing company
  • Fluent in English
  • Use of IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MES, AVIX, MS-Excel, MS-Project, SharePoint
  • Basic IT Knowledge of hardware and software used in manufacturing environment is must. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digitalization practices is an added advantage
