Job Description

Ensure work compliance to ISO 17025 requirements Perform metallurgical failure analysis on failed metallic (ferrous and non-ferrous) components, generating failure investigation reports with technical findings Carry out the mechanical tests for material properties evaluation and weld procedure specification qualification as per various international standards (ASME, API, AWS and BS) Carry out the corrosion tests as per NACE standards and other project specification to determine the susceptibility of material to corrosion in various service conditions Perform metallographic examinations on various materials to be determine grain size, cleanliness, volume percentage of phases and general microstructure evaluation Coordinate with the clients third party witness as to the testing details Manage technicians to carry out work as per the planning schedule Assist the department manager to assist in the execution Element Technology annual targets and budget Skills / Qualifications Bachelor degree in Metallurgy or related discipline Minumum 7 years experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing Minimum 5 years experience required in mechanical tests and failure analysis Excellent technical report writing skills along with good maths skills and Knowledge and experience of safe operation of metallurgical testing equipment and operating in lab and / or industrial environment Excellent organisational and team leading skills along with exceptional communication skills
